Position: Audit Assistant Experience: 1–2 YearsLocation: Ashok Nagar, ChennaiFirm: VRU & Co., Chartered AccountantsRole Overview:We are seeking a proactive Audit Assistant to support our audit and compliance engagements. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in accounting, taxation, statutory filings, and on-ground audit work.Key Responsibilities:Assist in statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits.Prepare and file Income Tax Returns, Tax Audits and support assessment-related work.Manage GST filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3 B, Annual Return) and handle GST appeals and refunds .Maintain accurate accounting records and perform ledger scrutiny.Coordinate with clients for data collection, follow-ups, and documentation.Ensure timely completion of assignments with professional quality standards.Required Skills & Competencies:Working knowledge of Income Tax , Tax Audit , GST law , and GST portal operations .Ability to handle accounting software (Tally is mandatory).Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.Effective communication and willingness to learn.Prior experience in a Chartered Accountant's office will be considered a strong advantage (additional value).Qualification:CA/CMA/CA Inter/CMA Inter/Semi Qualified CA/CMAWhat We Offer:Learning exposure across diverse industries.Opportunity for professional growth and mentorship.Collaborative and performance-driven work environment.
