Position: Audit Assistant Experience: 1–2 Years Location: Ashok Nagar, Chennai Firm: VRU & Co., Chartered Accountants Role Overview: We are seeking a proactive Audit Assistant to support our audit and compliance engagements. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in accounting, taxation, statutory filings, and on-ground audit work. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits. - - Prepare and file Income Tax Returns, Tax Audits and support assessment-related work. - - Manage GST filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Annual Return) and handle GST appeals and refunds. - - Maintain accurate accounting records and perform ledger scrutiny. - - Coordinate with clients for data collection, follow-ups, and documentation. - - Ensure timely completion of assignments with professional quality standards. Required Skills & Competencies: - Working knowledge of Income Tax, Tax Audit, GST law, and GST portal operations. - - Ability to handle accounting software (Tally is mandatory). - - Strong analytical ability and attention to detail. - - Effective communication and willingness to learn. - - Prior experience in a Chartered Accountant's office will be considered a strong advantage (additional value).
