Job Responsibilities

Role Summary:

C5i is seeking a dynamic and accomplished professional to lead its Pre-Sales and Inside Sales function. This role is pivotal in shaping the company’s client engagement journey—from first contact to solution presentation—ensuring accelerated business growth through consultative selling, pipeline generation, and high-quality opportunity management. The Head of Pre-Sales and Inside Sales will play a strategic role in building credibility with clients, enabling deal conversions, and mentoring a high-performance team to drive measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement the pre-sales and inside sales strategy to align with C5i’s long-term business objectives.
  • Lead and inspire a team of pre-sales consultants and inside sales specialists to consistently deliver qualified leads, impactful presentations, and client-centric proposals.
  • Partner with business development, delivery, and marketing teams to ensure seamless collaboration in client pursuits and solution positioning.
  • Oversee RFP/RFI management, solution demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and value-led presentations for enterprise clients.
  • Establish robust lead qualification and sales enablement processes to ensure pipeline efficiency and higher conversion ratios.
  • Build a repository of strategic solution collaterals, competitive intelligence, and industry-specific use cases to strengthen client engagement outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on sales metrics including opportunity quality, conversion cycles, bid success rates, and productivity benchmarks.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their strategic challenges and mapping C5i’s offerings to deliver business value.
  • Mentor and equip the pre-sales and inside sales team with consultative selling techniques, market intelligence, and advanced communication skills.

Required Skills:

  • MBA/Engineering or relevant Master’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management.
  • 18-20 years of proven experience in leading pre-sales and inside sales functions within technology, analytics, SaaS, or consulting-driven organizations.
  • Expertise in opportunity qualification, solutioning, and management of complex client pursuits.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling high-performing sales enablement teams.
  • Strong domain expertise in analytics, digital transformation, SaaS, or enterprise technology (aligned to C5i’s business focus).
  • Exceptional communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills for CXO-level engagements.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms, pipeline management, and sales automation tools.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
