We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to lead our growth initiatives in the pharmaceutical machinery sector. The ideal candidate will bring over 15 years of expertise in machinery sales, strong industry relationships, and a proven track record of achieving revenue targets. This role is pivotal in expanding our footprint and strengthening our market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive sales growth in pharmaceutical machinery.
Identify emerging market trends and align company offerings to meet customer needs.
Sales and Market Expansion
Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring alignment with revenue targets.
Drive sales of pharmaceutical machinery solutions, including solid dosage, packaging, and custom machinery.
Identify and penetrate new markets and industries globally.
Customer Relationship Management
Cultivate long-term relationships with key clients, decision-makers, and stakeholders.
Provide consultative sales support to customers, offering tailored machinery solutions to meet their needs.
Collaboration and Team Leadership
Work closely with the technical, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
Mentor and support junior sales team members.
Reporting and Analytics
Track and report on sales performance, market intelligence, and customer feedback.
Present regular updates to senior management on progress and opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education : BE / B.Tech - Mechanical + MBA Preferable ( Engineering Qualification is mandatory)
Experience: Minimum 15+ years in pharmaceutical machinery sales, with a strong track record in meeting or exceeding targets.
Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical manufacturing process, machinery, and industry regulations.
Sales Expertise: Expertise in B2B sales, client acquisition, and handling high-value deals.
Networking: Established connections within the pharmaceutical industry and related sectors.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering customer-centric solutions.
Preferred Attributes
Experience with global markets and exports is highly desirable.
Familiarity with automation and advanced technologies in pharmaceutical machinery.
