Job Summary: The Head of Wellness is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive wellness programs aimed at improving the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of employees.
This role ensures that wellness initiatives align with company goals, enhance employee engagement, and foster a healthy, productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities: Wellness Program Development & Strategy: Lead the development and execution of the company’s overall wellness strategy.
Identify wellness needs through assessments, surveys, and data analysis.
Create wellness programs covering mental health, physical health, nutrition, stress management, and work-life balance.
Collaborate with senior management to ensure wellness goals align with organizational priorities.
Implementation & Management: Manage and oversee the day-to-day execution of wellness programs, workshops, and events.
Establish a calendar of wellness activities, including fitness challenges, wellness seminars, and mental health initiatives.
Develop partnerships with external wellness providers, such as health insurance companies, fitness trainers, mental health counselors, etc.
Employee Engagement & Communication: Promote wellness programs across all levels of the organization to drive engagement and participation.
Develop internal communication strategies to keep employees informed and motivated about wellness offerings.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees with questions or concerns about wellness initiatives.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Measure and analyze the effectiveness of wellness programs through data collection, employee feedback, and health outcomes.
Provide regular reports and presentations to leadership on program performance, participation rates, and ROI.
Make data-driven recommendations to optimize program offerings and improve results.
Vendor Management: Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with external wellness vendors and service providers.
Ensure all services and programs provided by third-party vendors meet the company’s wellness goals and compliance standards.
Budgeting & Resource Allocation: Develop and manage the wellness program budget, ensuring the efficient use of resources.
Work closely with finance and HR to ensure wellness programs are cost-effective and aligned with company policies.
Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all wellness programs comply with local regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
Stay up-to-date with trends in corporate wellness, workplace health, and well-being best practices.
Key Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
10+ years of experience in a corporate wellness, HR, or health promotion role.
Proven leadership experience in managing wellness programs at a strategic level.
Strong understanding of mental and physical health, wellness trends, and employee engagement strategies.
Excellent project management, organizational, and budgeting skills.
Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform decision-making.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
