Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic head to lead our financial operations and contribute to the overall growth and success of our fitness and wellness company. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial management, strategic planning, and the unique challenges and opportunities within the fitness and wellness industry.

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs to measure organizational performance.
  • Conduct regular financial reviews and reporting to the executive team and board of directors.

Financial Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, tax, treasury, and risk management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Manage cash flow and optimize working capital.
  • Implement robust internal controls and risk management procedures.

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the company's strategic plan.
  • Provide financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, expansion, and diversification.

Mergers and Acquisitions:

  • Lead due diligence, valuation, and negotiation processes for potential acquisitions and partnerships.
  • Manage post-merger integration activities, including financial consolidation and operational synergies.

Investor Relations:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with investors, lenders, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare investor presentations and financial reports.
  • Manage fundraising activities and capital market transactions.

Team Leadership:

  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing finance team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • CPA or CFA certification is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in financial leadership roles, preferably in the fitness and wellness industry.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS.
  • Proven track record of driving financial performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Additional Considerations:

  • Experience with fitness club operations, membership management, and revenue recognition models.
  • Knowledge of health and wellness industry trends and regulations.
  • Passion for fitness and wellness.
