Founded in 2010, Ekya Schools is a chain of progressive K-12 schools in Bangalore, India, offering Kindergarten & Montessori and Grades 1-12 affiliated to CBSE, ICSE and Cambridge IGCSE. With our in-house curriculum, students experience a rich learning journey designed to challenge, engage, and excite. By drawing on the legacy of the CMR Group of Institutions and the innovative, immersive methods of school systems worldwide, the Ekya Schools were instituted with one aim – to teach children not just what to learn but how to learn. As part of our commitment to reimagining education, Ekya Schools launched the Purpose-Based Schools in AY 2025–26, a new chain of K–12 institutions centered on thematic learning. These thematic schools enable students to develop expertise in specific areas of interest from an early age.

The first of these, Ekya Nava , is a School of Innovation, Creativity, and Design that empowers the next generation of thinkers, innovators, scientists, product leaders, changemakers, and technopreneurs. By harnessing technology and design thinking, Nava helps students learn differently, present their learning in new ways, and build a mindset that enables them to make connections across disciplines and apply their knowledge to real-world challenges.

Now in its inaugural year (AY 2025–26), Ekya Nava is at an exciting stage of growth and seeks a dynamic, globally experienced Head of School to strengthen its foundation and guide its evolution into a premier hub for innovation in education.

The Head of School will be instrumental in shaping Nava's culture, systems, and standards of excellence during its formative years, ensuring that the school's early momentum translates into lasting impact. This role calls for a visionary leader with the strategic insight and operational expertise to scale a new school responsibly while building its reputation for progressive, purpose-driven education.

Curriculum Leadership : Lead the implementation and ongoing refinement of the Ekya Nava curriculum based on our innovative framework. Ensure curriculum design reflects the latest educational research, caters to diverse learning styles, and prepares students for future challenges.

Educational Excellence : Provide strategic direction and instructional leadership to promote high academic standards and effective teaching practices across all grade levels.

Teacher Development: Foster a professional growth and collaboration culture to enhance teaching quality and student outcomes.

Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that supports every student's academic, social, and emotional development. Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong partnerships with parents, community organizations, and educational stakeholders to foster a supportive and enriching school community. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with Ekya Nava's academic goals and values.

Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day school operations, including budget management, facilities maintenance, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Ensure efficient use of resources to support educational goals and enhance the overall school experience.

Continuous Improvement: Lead ongoing evaluation and improvement initiatives to enhance curriculum effectiveness, teaching quality, and overall school performance. Implement outreach programs, promotional campaigns, and community engagement efforts to increase school visibility and enrollment. Analyze enrollment trends and adjust strategies to meet school admission targets. Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content and manage the school's online presence.

Master's degree or higher in Education or a related field

~10+ years of leadership experience in reputed K–12 schools, with strong exposure to international curricula (IB, IGCSE, or equivalent).

~ Deep understanding of curriculum design, educational best practices, and innovative teaching methodologies.

~ Ability to inspire and motivate a diverse school community toward achieving shared goals.

~ Commitment to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.

Visionary leadership with a passion for education and a commitment to delivering exceptional learning experiences.

Experience in managing educational budgets, resources, and operational logistics.
