Lead a School of Governance:

We are seeking an exceptional Director to spearhead the development and growth of our School of Government.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering results, building strong teams, and fostering collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategic vision for the school, defining medium and long-term academic and research directions and priorities.
  • Provide leadership to teaching and non-teaching staff to establish the school as a leading institution in governance.
  • Create an environment where students can learn, thrive, and become leaders and innovators in society.
  • Collaborate across interdisciplinary areas and with other members of leadership to develop synergies between education, research, and service priorities across the university.
  • Oversee academic programs, including preparing strategic plans, evaluating vision and mission, and aligning institutional processes.
  • Design high-quality curricula that meet the needs of governance with a global perspective and are comparable to best-in-class standards.
  • Lead and drive social initiatives, focusing on continuous faculty development, community engagement, and alumni networking.
  • Plan manpower needs, recruit high-calibre faculty, and ensure effective delivery of teaching, research, and consultancy activities.
  • Stay updated on societal changing needs and incorporate them into curriculum development.
  • Engage with alumni for mutual benefit and participate effectively in university activities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and foster collaborations with other institutes/schools within the university campus.
  • Track local, regional, and national legislative and policy issues related to governance and develop strategies to inform stakeholders.
  • Collect and maintain up-to-date data on key policies, advocacy issues, economic trends, and issue-oriented advocacy research.
