Role Overview:
As a Patent Administrator, you will be executing activities related to Docketing, Deadline management, Form preparation, and Filing.
Job description:
Well versed with Indian Patent Office filing procedures – form preparation, e-filing, PCT
Preparing filing packages for IN, US, and other jurisdictions as per PTO guidelines
Tracking domestic and foreign filing deadlines and providing instructions to internal stakeholders and external law firms
Tracking prosecution related events (FERs, Office Actions, ISR, etc.) and communicating to assigned stakeholders
Handling declarations, PoAs, Assignments, and other documents
Manage annuity payments and patent renewals
Communicating instructions to external law firms for timely submission of documents at PTO
Effective coordination with attorneys, global filing specialists and other stakeholders for all filings and submissions
Desired Skillset:
Hands-on experience of different docketing tools
Excellent written and verbal communication (an absolute must)
Experience in writing formal emails
Knowledge of legal lexicon
Ability to think independently and in a team to understand problems & suggest solutions
Education/Professional Qualification and Work Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Law/Science/Commerce/Arts/Computers (LLB/BSc/BCom/BA/MSc/MCom/MA/MCA)
Patent Admin Experience: 1-2 years
