About the job (Job Responsibilities)

  • Prepare, lead, execute and deliver cyber security projects, safe within defined scope, schedule, budget and dedicated quality
  • Select, lead, and develop the multifunctional project team
  • Apply and adhere to Nouryon’s project management methodology
  • Ensure compliance to company directives
  • Take owner’s role, bringing value to the business with accountability for project delivery.


Project initiation – Identify and analyze business needs, stakeholders and linkages to other projects and define project scope and objectives

Result: Project scope and objectives are clear, attainable, and approved


Project plan – Formulate the project plan, ensure procurement involvement, define project execution and delivery model, determine budget, and required resources, clarify role and involvement level of team members and acquire approval

Result: Project plan, budget and required resources are approved


Project execution – Coordinate, monitor and accountably manage project activities, manage and mitigate project risks, issues, changes and deviations and resources and take corrective actions when necessary. Build a comprehensive set of retrievable and broadly accessible project documentation incl. reporting.


Project delivery & closure – Ensure readiness for Mechanical Completion and hand over to operations, evaluate and close project, identify and analyze lessons learned, archive project documents and hand over project to operations and/or line management and PMO.

Result: Completion of project objectives, realization of deliverables, continuous improvement of project management skills, feedback relevant data to PMO and acceptance of end product by business.


Relations Management – Build, maintain and utilize a network of in- and external stakeholders/partners and represent the project within the organization

Result: Network is sustainable and accessible and contributes to project success


Project information – Provide insights regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical progress, financial, risk and ad hoc reports and/or analyses to the project champion and the project Steering Committee.

Result: Project information enables management and/or other stakeholders to make (timely) decisions and determine or adjust project plan


People Management and Development (where applicable) – Attract, (functionally) lead, coach, appraise and develop employees, ensure staffing, and stimulate talent(management)

Result: Project team is engaged, deployable (quantitative and qualitative) and capable of realizing the (department/team) objectives


Negotiations – Negotiate, strategically, technically, and financially consulted by procurement with internal and/or external parties, acquire approval and/or close contracts/SLA’s and monitor compliance with contracts/SLA’s

Result: Services of internal and/or external parties against reasonable quality and price


Specifics – Handover to operations. The Project Manager remains responsible for budget and schedule control, project final documentation and financial close-out.



We believe you bring (Education & Experience)

  • Relevant content experience in different multiple units of chemical plants, disciplines, locations (cultures – international environment) and/or other companies
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Cyber Security projects
  • More than 8 years project management experience
  • A minimum of 6 years relevant works experience in an international corporation.
  • Significant relevant work experience and broad general knowledge of information security IT security management
  • Experience supporting and working on various cyber security technology projects such as SIEM, Logging tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR, UEBA
  • Knowledge of authentication technologies such as privileged access management, Active Directory, etc.
  • Knowledge of networking and networking protocols
  • Master/ bachelor’s degree in business management, computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a related field of study
  • Professional certification - PMP or equivalent
  • Cyber Security certifications a plus

  • Strong strategic and conceptual skills with ability to execute and follow through
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement of the processes, policies, standards
  • Able to work in an inclusive way in the engineering community to make sure the business experiences ‘one voice’ and the project team’s collective objectives are met
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, influencing, persuading, entrepreneurship, result oriented, negotiation, problem solving
  • Good structured and analytical skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills in English both verbal and written
  • Open to innovation, change and ability to work in a flexible work environment
  • Able to impart knowledge and learn quickly
  • Team player, contributes to project team’s ability to reach maximum performance
  • Demonstrated high performance levels and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
