Brief Introduction: In this role, you will lead our brokerage's technological initiatives, focusing on digital transformation of internal tools/platforms, enhanced trading facilities, risk management, and compliance.

This pivotal role demands a blend of technological prowess and financial industry insight to elevate our operational efficiencies and client services.

This role will oversee the in-housing of back-office solutions, supervise the Stock Settlement Ops division, and drive process improvements across our operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial operations/ trading, regulatory compliance, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities: General Operations & Strategy Manage and optimize clearing and settlement operations for equity, derivatives, and commodity markets.

Identify and address key operational challenges to enhance efficiency.

Innovate processes to improve stakeholder coordination among brokers, custodians, and depositories.

Risk Management Implement critical risk management protocols to maintain system stability during market volatility.

Monitor and determine margin requirements for various instruments, especially in high-risk scenarios.

Develop strategies to handle default risk and manage clearing member defaults effectively.

Technology & Systems Utilize advanced technologies such as automation , AI , and blockchain to streamline operations.

Ensure the scalability of systems as trading volumes increase while maintaining security against cyber threats .

Plan for the adoption of real-time settlement (T+0) for select products.

Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with SEBI regulations in all clearing and settlement operations.

Manage complexities associated with cross-border transactions and evolving regulatory frameworks, particularly regarding crypto-assets.

Future Trends & Developments Analyze emerging trends in the clearing space over the next 5-10 years.

Explore the integration of advanced analytics or machine learning to predict risks related to settlement failures.

Client Relations & Services Maintain effective communication with clearing members regarding operational changes or regulatory updates.

Enhance client experience for institutional clients through improved service delivery.

Account Opening & Client Onboarding Oversee the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring compliance with KYC norms .

Streamline integration of multiple services during client onboarding to minimize delays.

Trade Execution & Settlement Supervise the trade execution and settlement process to ensure prompt order execution.

Manage reconciliation of trades and address discrepancies efficiently.

Financial Operations & Reporting Oversee financial operations including client fund segregation, daily margin collection, and accurate financial reporting.

Corporate Governance & Internal Controls Establish internal controls to prevent fraud and operational errors while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience in broking operations or related fields.

Strong understanding of financial markets, particularly in brokerage operations.

Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams.

Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement.

Proficiency in using technology for operational improvements.
