Hiring: Mainframe Developer | COBOL | JCL | DB2Location: Bengaluru/ChennaiExperience: 3 – 8 YearsEmployment Type: Full-time | Permanent | (Hybrid / Onsite / Remote – specify as per requirement)About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, and DB2 environments . The ideal candidate will design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe-based business applications, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to modernize and optimize existing mainframe systems.️ Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2 .Perform coding, testing, debugging, and performance tuning of mainframe programs.Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions .Maintain and enhance batch and online processing systems .Work on production support , defect analysis, and issue resolution.Create and maintain technical documentation and system flow diagrams.Collaborate with QA, system analysts, and other developers to ensure smooth delivery.Participate in code reviews , ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.✅ Required Skills & Experience:3–8 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe application development .Strong programming experience in COBOL , JCL , and DB2 .Good understanding of VSAM files, CICS, and batch/online systems .Proficiency in SQL and DB2 database programming .Experience in performance optimization, debugging, and production support .Familiarity with change management and version control tools (Endevor, Changeman, etc.).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Good to Have:Experience in mainframe modernization or migration projects .Knowledge of Rexx, Easytrieve, or File-Aid .Exposure to Agile methodologies .Experience in banking, insurance, or financial services domains is a plus.Key Skills for Naukri Search Optimization:Mainframe Developer, COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, Batch Processing, Online Processing, SQL, DB2 Programming, Endevor, Changeman, Performance Tuning, Debugging, File-Aid, Easytrieve, Mainframe ModernizationWhy Join Us?✅ Work on enterprise-grade mainframe systems supporting global operations✅ Opportunity to upskill in modernization and automation technologies✅ Collaborative, learning-oriented culture✅ Long-term stability and career growth in a leading organization
