The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel pipe applications for water transmission, while also possessing comprehensive knowledge of alternative materials such as PVC, HDPE, and GRP. They should be able to evaluate and recommend the most suitable pipe material based on project requirements, environmental factors, and long-term performance considerations.
Required Experience:
Extensive knowledge of water transmission pipe materials
PVC and variants (OPVC, UPVC)
High-density polyethylene (HDPE)
Glass-reinforced plastic (GRP)
Ductile iron pipes
Familiarity with pipe manufacturing processes, such as spiral weld and rolled-and-welded straight seam techniques
Understanding of pipe lining and coating technologies for corrosion protection
Qualifications
Experience with competitive bidding processes for water infrastructure projects
Understanding of lifecycle cost analysis for different pipe materials
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
8 to 12 Years of Experience Only
