About Project AWAREProject AWARE advances Awareness, Readiness & Ethics in AI considering the unchecked rapid AI adoption that we have seen. We’re launching a pan-India study on how rapid AI adoption is shaping the future of work (Fo W) and social mobility, short-term shifts and long-term outcomes across regions and communities.What you’ll doRun literature scans and prepare concise evidence memos.Help design surveys/interview guides; support data collection (remote).Analyse findings (basic quant/qual) and draft policy briefs & research notes.Map sectoral use-cases (law, education, health, gig work, public services, etc.).Uphold research ethics (consent, privacy) and maintain tidy documentation.You haveBackground/interest in public policy, economics, sociology, law, education, AI & society (students and early professionals welcome).Strong writing and synthesis; comfort with Google Docs/Sheets.Bonus: R/Python or STATA; fieldwork experience; proficiency in an Indian language in addition to English.Curiosity about equity—perspectives from marginalized communities are especially valued.What you getCertificate of Contribution (Lo R possible based on output).Named credit; authorship on select outputs that meet contribution thresholds.Mentorship, weekly check-ins, and access to our research templates/toolkits.ImportantThis is a volunteer, unpaid role with a flexible schedule.Apply (rolling): Lk UVQr KWZi QAAQuestions: (Subject: “Volunteer Researcher – Project AWARE”)*We encourage applications from women, Dalit/Adivasi communities, LGBTQIA+ persons, persons with disabilities, and first-gen scholars.*
