We are seeking a highly skilled My SQL and Postgre SQL Database Administrator having 5 to 6 years of experience to manage, optimize, secure, and support mission-critical on-premise and/or cloud database environments. The DBA will be responsible for installation, configuration, performance tuning, high availability (HA), replication, backup & recovery, writing/optimizing advanced SQL queries and troubleshooting.The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in My SQL & Postgre SQL internals , replication technologies, and experience supporting production workloads.Key Responsibilities:Installation, Configuration & UpgradesPerformance Monitoring & TuningDatabase Migration and upgradationHigh Availability (HA) & ReplicationBackup, Recovery & Disaster RecoveryMaintenance & HousekeepingWrite, analyze, and optimize complex SQL queries for OLTP and reporting workloadsSecurity & ComplianceMonitoring & AlertingTroubleshooting & Root Cause AnalysisCore Technical Skills:Postgre SQL:Streaming replication, logical replication, WAL internalsAutovacuum, bloat management, MVCC internalspg_partman, pg_repack, Timescale DB extensionsHA solutions: Patroni, repmgr, HAProxy, etcdPerformance tuning using pg_stat_statementsMy SQL:Inno DB engine internalsReplication (async/semi-sync), GTIDsPerformance tuning (buffer pool, redo logs, tmp usage)My SQL 5.7/8.0 optimizer & indexing strategiesTroubleshooting deadlocks, long transactionsPreferred / Nice-to-HaveExperience with Docker or Kubernetes (Stateful Sets)Knowledge of Citus, Timescale DB, pgpool-IIFamiliarity with Cloud DB offerings (AWS RDS, Aurora, Azure PG/My SQL)Understanding of CI/CD pipelinesEDB certificationETL development
