Our focus lies in providing apt and well-timed solutions to our clients despite the dynamic and heterogenous nature of the sector. With 100+ professionals having a significant and hands on experience across agriculture and allied value chains including but not limited to horticulture, dairy and animal husbandry, aquaculture, poultry, and a footprint in 10+ states and central government departments in India.
The team is seeking an experienced professionals with exceptional interpersonal and technical skills that may include policy-based analysis, knowledge of trade, agricultural policies, and economics. The candidate should be able to drive and support the agenda of Agri and Allied Services practice of the firm both in India and globally and should have a deep technical understanding of the subject
>>About Economic Development Advisory (EDA):
The Economic Growth Advisory team is part of KPMG Government & Public Sector practice. Bringing in fresh investments is the key to India’s sustainable and inclusive growth. While most attention is focused on the central government, India’s state governments are also vying for investments to ensure economic development in their states. KPMG in India has been at the helm driving collaborations with multiple state governments by providing strategic guidance to facilitate and accelerate investments.
We work at the intersection of government and private sector for collaboration with various governments to explore avenues for job creation and help create an enabling business environment. We follow a transformational approach towards job creation by leveraging strategic interventions across domains for facilitating investments, promoting trade and, encouraging entrepreneurship, thereby developing a conducive ecosystem for large industries, SMEs, and startups to thrive.
>>Professional Experience:
Should exhibit knowledge of IPR/GI regime in India and Global
Should have 4+ years of work experience, preferably with the state, federal, international government, or multi-lateral institution.
Strong interpersonal skills and technical skills and should be able to drive and support the agenda of the client on day-to-day basis.
Have strong multi-tasking abilities and ensure excellence in execution of deliverables.
Strong report-writing, communication, excel and power point skills.
Should be willing to travel as per the business requirements.
>>Roles and Responsibilities:
Client Engagement: Drive and support the client’s agenda on a day-to-day basis, ensuring all deliverables are met with excellence.
Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on various topics related to IPR/GI regimes in India and globally.
Report Writing: Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and other documentation as required.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, international bodies, and other relevant entities.
Project Management: Oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful completion.
Travel: Willingness to travel as per business requirements.
>>Preferred Skills/Experience:
IPR/GI Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Geographical Indications (GI) regimes in India and globally.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.
Multi-tasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
Communication: Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
Travel: Flexibility to travel as needed for business purposes.
>> Education Qualification
MBA/PGDM or Master’s in Public Policy, Economics, or equivalent from a reputed institution.
