Exide is also deeply invested in further developing li-ion technology with significant R&D investments including setup of in-house team as well as necessary lab infrastructure to support development activities.Overview:Server administrators are responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. Server Administrator installs hardware and software and participates in continuously improve and keep up with the backend servers/ systems of applications hosted on Data Center/ Cloud Infrastructure. Server administrators also actively resolve problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions within the department.Job Overview:Configuration and installation of various servers (Physical and Virtual), SAN Storage and Backup applicationCreation of Users, Groups, Mailboxes on O365 consoleManagement of Windows and RHEL Servers (File, FTP, Print, so on) SAN Switch and StorageMonitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.Vendor ManagementRole & Responsibilities:Configuration of servers, operating systems administration, hardening, load balancers, firewall including but not limited to management of users, processes, resource contention, preventive maintenance, and management of updates & patches to ensure that the system is properly updated.Responsible for leading the Data Center On-Prem and Cloud ServersPeriodic health check of the systems, troubleshooting problems, analyzing and implementing rectification measures.Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.Managing of ADPerforming Backups of servers, DBs and RecoveryProactively monitor client updates using IntuneHands-on experience on the Virtualization preferably VMWareCreation of LUNs and Assigning to respective servers on need basisHands-on experience on Windows, Linux Operation systemsInternal / External Integration Points:Plants: For all IT Plant Machinery requirements and vendor developmentInternal Stakeholders from Process, R&D,SC, Quality, Equipment, Sales & Mktg & other functionsSuppliers: India / GlobalEducation:BE IT/CS, BSc Comp Sci/ IT or equivalent degreeExperience:7+Yrs of experience in the Server Administration both Windows and LinuxDesired Skills:FunctionalStrong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.Strong customer service orientationExperience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.BehavioralExcellent interpersonal communication, logical analysis, negotiation, and decision-makingStrong planning and organizing skills, problem solving skills, stress management and time management.
