Supply Planner

Position description:Supply Planning is a part of Global Customer Delight process which is responsible for timely delivery to the customers by ensuring timely availability of raw materials for production. The person handling this profile will be accountable for planning requirement of raw & packing materials and consumables for all the plants of Galaxy Surfactants in India and well defined raw & packing material requirements of specific plants of Galaxy Surfactants outside India. It also includes implementing SAP based digital solutions related to RM scheduling and MRP functions.Primary Responsibilities:- Creating and maintaining production schedules based on demand forecasts and available resources, ensuring efficient production flow- To assess the requirements of materials based on monthly rolling plan and ensure timely availability of Raw materials,- Responsible for creating an efficient distribution plan for inventory movement to warehouses and allocating inventory to customer orders- To effect cost reduction through value engineering and cost benefits analysis in respect of materials, transportation, storage, packing etc.- To monitor consumption pattern of RM on a regular basis and take appropriate actions in raw material planning.- To ensure that there is no detention and demurrage incurred on raw material by efficient planning and scheduling.- Determining optimal inventory levels for raw materials, finished goods, and work-in-progress, aiming to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.- To ensure that conversion teams across Galaxy India adheres to inventory norms.- Working closely with other departments such as sales, marketing, production, and procurement to ensure alignment and effective supply chain operations.- Root cause analysis and problem resolutions for all customer service deficiencies.- Track, analyze and communicate key performance metrics of the team.- To monitor slow moving inventory and convert them into values.- Use statistical analysis on demand and supply numbers and analyses to create meaningful action plan.- To work on digitization program for various processes in the functioning- To implement SAP based digital solutions related to production planning, Raw Material scheduling and MRP functions.Qualification : BE/ Master of Business Administration - MBAKey Performance Indicators:- OTIF record >98%.- Inventory turns >21.
