• Create definitions of logical data structures, tables, views, indexes, program specificationblocks, stored procedures and define their relationships
• Follow naming conventions for database objects
• Set data storage parameters for storage associated with the physical elements of the database
• Estimate and recommend storage requirements
• Maintain and monitor the health and performance of RDBMS
