We are looking for a Head – GST & Indirect Tax to lead our indirect tax practice. The role involves managing GST advisory and compliance, handling litigation, leading a team of 15–20 professionals, and independently engaging with clients and firm partners. GST Advisory & Compliance Lead and review GST advisory assignments across sectors. Oversee end-to-end GST compliance, including registrations, returns, reconciliations, and annual returns. Review tax positions on complex transactions, input tax credit issues, cross-charges, and place of supply. Ensure timely updates and implementation of changes in GST law, rules, and notifications. Litigation & Representation Handle GST assessments, audits, investigations, and departmental queries. Coordinate with counsels, where required, and support in strategy for key litigation matters. Team Leadership & Management Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 15–20 GST professionals and executives. Allocate work, monitor deliverables, and ensure quality and timely completion. Provide technical guidance, conduct internal trainings, and support team members’ professional development. Drive standardisation of processes, checklists, and internal controls within the GST team. Client & Stakeholder Management Act as the primary point of contact for key GST clients. Practice Development & Knowledge Management Assist in developing GST-related service offerings, proposals, and pitches. Track industry trends, judicial pronouncements, and policy developments in GST and indirect tax. Qualifications & Experience CA with 6–7+ years of strong GST/indirect tax experience in a reputed / large CA firm. Hands-on experience in GST litigation , advisory, and compliance.
