Overview :
Kong AI is at the forefront of innovation in artificial intelligence and machine learning, and we are seeking a Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The Business Analyst will work closely with key stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and business leaders, to analyze business needs, define requirements, and ensure that AI-driven solutions are aligned with business objectives.
Product Requirement Gathering:
Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and customers to gather detailed product requirements.
Conduct workshops, interviews, and surveys to identify business needs and user pain points.
Use tools like Miro or Lucidchart to visualize business processes and workflows.
Document functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring they are clear, concise, and aligned with business objectives.
Product Roadmap and Strategy:
Assist in the creation of the product roadmap, ensuring that it reflects business priorities and customer needs.
Help prioritize product features and enhancements based on market research, customer feedback, and business value.
Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to validate strategic decisions for the product’s direction.
Business Process and Market Analysis:
Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies or gaps that the product could address.
Conduct competitive analysis using tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs for market trends, competitor offerings, and potential areas for differentiation.
Perform SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) to help shape product strategy and improvements.
User Stories and Use Cases:
Translate product requirements into user stories and use cases that are clear and actionable for development teams.
Define acceptance criteria for features and ensure they are well understood by both technical and business teams.
Work with designers to develop wireframes and prototypes using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD that align with the product vision.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and QA teams to ensure product development is aligned with business goals.
Bridge the communication gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the product is developed according to requirements.
Ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed on progress, risks, and issues related to product development.
Product Testing and Validation:
Assist in developing test cases and validation strategies for product features.
Support QA teams in ensuring the product meets all functional, performance, and usability requirements.
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to confirm that the product features meet business requirements and provide value to end-users.
Product Performance Monitoring and Feedback:
Monitor product performance post-launch to ensure it meets KPIs and user satisfaction metrics.
Collect user feedback through surveys, interviews, and analytics tools like Hotjar or Google Analytics to identify areas for improvement.
Analyze product usage data to recommend product optimizations and enhancements.
Product Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive product documentation, including functional specifications, user stories, and product requirement documents (PRDs).
Prepare and deliver regular status reports to stakeholders on product progress, challenges, and upcoming milestones.
Create and update product knowledge base materials, including user guides and internal documentation.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and issues in the product development lifecycle and work proactively with teams to mitigate them.
Ensure that the product stays aligned with the defined scope and timelines, handling any changes in scope or feature creep.
Product Launch and Go-to-Market Strategy:
Support product launch activities by providing documentation, training, and market insights.
Assist in developing go-to-market strategies by collaborating with marketing, sales, and customer support teams.
Help define key metrics and success factors for the product's launch and post-launch analysis.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
Continuously evaluate market trends, technological advancements, and customer feedback to inform product updates and new features.
Identify opportunities for product enhancements based on emerging technologies or market needs.
Drive innovation by proposing new ideas for the product that can differentiate it in the market.
Customer-Centric Focus:
Ensure the product is designed with a deep understanding of the customer’s needs, preferences, and pain points.
Advocate for the customer experience in all stages of product development and delivery.
Work closely with customer success teams to understand user challenges and develop solutions that meet customer needs.
Skills and Competencies:
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze market trends, customer feedback, and business data to derive actionable insights.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and facilitate the flow of information.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify business problems and translate them into clear, actionable product features or enhancements.
User-Centered Design: Understanding of user-centered design principles and how they apply to product development.
Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, and ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative development process.
Technical Understanding: Familiarity with the technical aspects of product development, including software engineering, APIs, and databases, to communicate effectively with technical teams.
Product Lifecycle Management: Knowledge of the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept and design to development and launch.
Market Research: Ability to conduct market research to inform product decisions and competitive analysis.
Customer Focus: Deep empathy for users and a customer-first mindset when designing product features.
Prototyping Tools: Proficient in tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and InVision for creating mockups, wireframes, and prototypes.
