Role Description
As a dedicated Business Development Manager for Construction and Interior Projects, your core responsibility is to drive new business opportunities and revenue growth for the company. In this role, you focus solely on expanding the client base and securing new projects, allowing the operations team to concentrate on project execution. Your expertise lies in market analysis, client engagement, and strategic proposal development.
Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, market demands, and emerging trends. Analyze competitor strategies to refine the company's business approach.
- Client Acquisition: Identify and reach out to potential clients, understanding their needs and aligning company services to meet those requirements. Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
- Proposal Development: Prepare compelling and tailored business proposals. Collaborate with internal teams to create detailed project plans, estimates, and presentations that showcase the company's capabilities.
- Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations with clients, ensuring terms, pricing, and timelines are mutually beneficial. Close deals, secure contracts, and provide a seamless handover to the operations team.
- Networking: Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and networking forums. Build a robust professional network and represent the company at relevant business gatherings.
- Sales Reporting: Monitor and report on sales metrics, track progress against targets, and provide regular updates to senior management. Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and growth.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and issues are resolved promptly. Foster long-term partnerships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Proven track record in business development within the construction or interior projects industry.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical abilities, capable of identifying market opportunities and client requirements.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Adaptability and resilience in a competitive business landscape.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business prospects.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
