Job description:


The Non-Ferrous Scrap Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales, managing customer relationships, and overseeing the buying and selling of non-ferrous scrap metals such as aluminum, copper, brass, lead, and other materials. The role requires a deep understanding of the scrap metal industry, market trends, and the ability to develop strategic sales plans to increase profitability while maintaining compliance with environmental and industry regulations.


Sales Strategy & Planning:


- Develop and implement sales strategies to grow revenue and market share in the non-ferrous scrap metal sector.

- Identify and target potential clients, including manufacturers, recyclers, and traders.

- Build and maintain relationships with key customers and suppliers to ensure a steady supply and demand of scrap materials.

- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new sales opportunities.


Customer Relationship Management:

- Manage and expand the company's customer base by providing exceptional service and understanding customer needs.

- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with customers and suppliers.

- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and issues in a professional and timely manner.


Market Research & Analysis:


- Monitor industry trends, pricing changes, and market conditions for non-ferrous metals to inform sales strategies.

- Stay updated on environmental regulations and industry standards that may impact scrap metal trade.

- Provide regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and competitor activity.


Sales Reporting & Forecasting:


- Prepare regular sales forecasts and performance reports for upper management.

- Ensure accurate tracking of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions within the CRM system.

- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.


Contract Management & Compliance:


- Oversee contract negotiations and ensure compliance with legal, safety, and environmental standards.

- Ensure all transactions follow company policies and industry regulations.

- Monitor and manage accounts receivable to minimize overdue payments.


Qualifications:


- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field (preferred).

- 5+ years of experience in sales, specifically within the metal scrap or recycling industry.

- Strong knowledge of non-ferrous metals, market trends, and scrap metal trading.

- Proven experience in managing a sales team and achieving revenue targets.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools.

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

- Understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements in the scrap metal I industry.
