Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Category Manager to drive the growth and profitability of our premium fashion category. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the luxury fashion market, exceptional vendor management skills, and proven experience in category development and merchandising within the premium fashion segment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Category Strategy & Growth :
o Develop and execute a growth strategy for the fashion category, aligned with the brand’s vision.
o Identify new product opportunities and curate collections that cater to luxury fashion consumers.
2. Vendor and Designer Relations :
o Build and maintain relationships with high-end designers and fashion brands.
o Negotiate contracts, pricing, and exclusivity deals to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships.
3. Product Selection and Curation :
o Curate a trend-driven yet timeless product range that resonates with the brand's target audience.
o Ensure a balance between seasonal trends and core collection staples.
4. Sales and Profitability :
o Monitor category performance through KPIs such as sales, margins, and inventory turnover.
o Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and improving average order value (AOV).
5. Promotions and Campaigns :
o Collaborate with marketing teams to create impactful campaigns for new launches, sales events, and promotions.
o Plan and execute promotional activities for key occasions and festivals.
6. Inventory and Supply Chain Management :
o Optimize inventory levels to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
o Work closely with supply chain teams to ensure timely product availability.
7. Customer Insights and Market Research :
o Analyze customer feedback, market trends, and competitor performance to refine the category strategy.
o Stay updated on emerging trends in luxury and premium fashion.
Key Requirements:
1. Educational Qualifications :
o Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
o MBA or a postgraduate degree in Fashion Management is a plus.
2. Experience :
o 4–5 years of experience in category management or merchandising within the premium fashion space.
