Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Land Acquisition Manager to support the identification, negotiation, and acquisition of land for solar and wind energy projects across Tamil Nadu. This role requires extensive travel within the state and close coordination with stakeholders, including landowners, government bodies, and internal teams, ensuring smooth execution of the land acquisition process.
Key Responsibilities:
Land Identification & Surveying:
- Assist in identifying suitable land parcels for renewable energy projects.
- Conduct field visits across Tamil Nadu to assess site feasibility and coordinate with survey teams.
Documentation & Legal Compliance:
- Coordinate the preparation of necessary documents, agreements, and records for land acquisition.
- Ensure compliance with Tamil Nadu's land laws, government policies, and national regulations.
Negotiations & Stakeholder Management:
- Support negotiations with landowners, brokers, and relevant stakeholders to secure favorable terms.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with local authorities, government bodies, and community leaders across the state.
Coordination & Reporting:
- Collaborate with project, finance, and legal teams to align land acquisition activities with project schedules.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on acquisition progress, challenges, and outcomes.
Risk Mitigation:
- Identify potential risks related to land acquisition and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, Real Estate Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in land acquisition, preferably within the renewable energy or infrastructure sector.
- Familiarity with land acquisition laws and processes specific to Tamil Nadu will be an advantage.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Tamil.
- Knowledge of Tamil Nadu land laws, regulations, and local administrative processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel extensively across Tamil Nadu.

- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
