About the Role:

We are seeking a  Senior Technical Support Engineer with expertise in  Linux systems ,  HPC environments , and  AWS cloud technologies . In this role, you will provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for our High-Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and optimizing performance.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong technical foundation, with an eagerness and ability to  learn quickly  in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Familiarity with physical HPC systems, such as  DGX H1000 , is highly desirable.

Previous  call center or customer support experience  is a plus, showcasing your ability to manage and resolve technical issues efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support:  Provide Level 2/3 support for HPC environments, resolving complex technical support issues
  • HPC Scheduler Management:  Administer and troubleshoot HPC schedulers like  Slurm ; great advantage.
  • AWS CloudFormation:  Understanding of cloud setups and cloudformation is a great advantage.
  • Parallel File Systems:  Configure, monitor, and optimize parallel file systems (e.g., Lustre, GPFS).
  • Networking:  Manage and troubleshoot high-speed  Infiniband  networks for HPC.
  • NVIDIA GPU Tools:  Support GPU-based workloads with tools like  CUDA  and MPI, knowledge of NVML is bonus
  • Physical HPC Systems:  Provide support for physical HPC systems, with experience on platforms like  DGX H1000  highly desirable; but not necessary.
  • Monitoring & Root Cause Analysis:  Implement monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and perform root cause analysis for system issues.
  • Storage Array knowledge; Mainly troubleshooting issues
  • Adaptability:  Quickly learn and apply new HPC and cloud technologies to support dynamic project requirements.
  • Customer Interaction:  Leverage customer support skills to handle and resolve technical queries efficiently.
  • Collaboration Tools:  Use tools like  Slack  for team communication and coordination.
  • Documentation:  Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, troubleshooting, and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Have Skills:
  • Linux administration ; scripting abilities in bash or python are also a plus.
  • Knowledge of  HPC schedulers (e.g., Slurm)
  • Hands-on experience with  AWS CloudFormation and related AWS services.
  • Expertise with  parallel file systems (e.g., Lustre, GPFS).
  • Familiarity with  Infiniband networking and NVIDIA GPU tools (e.g., CUDA).

  • Desirable Skills:
  • physical HPC systems , particularly NVIDIA  DGX H1000 platforms.
  • Previous  call center or customer support experience is an added plus.
  • Soft Skills:
  •   learn new technologies and tools quickly .
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively.
  • Nice to Have:
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud-HPC solutions.
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform); desirable
  • Knowledge of advanced monitoring solutions like Prometheus or Grafana.
