Pastry Chef Job Summary

Our team is seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join our kitchen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the production of all pastries, cakes, cold and hot desserts, and toppings for various outlets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement production charts of all bakery and pastry items and monitor them from time to time.
  • Ensure to exceed guest expectations in quality and service of food products.
  • Supervise the preparation and production of all bakery products.
  • Follow HACCP procedures and maintain clear records.
Menu Planning and Innovation

Plan and design menus, responsible for presentation of pastries, bakery items, and chocolates. Pair wine with food tastefully whenever applicable, and create a competitive edge through innovation and consistency.

Effective People Management
  • Motivate and develop staff to ensure smooth functioning of the department and promote teamwork.
  • Provide effective support to the team to enable them to provide a range of effective and efficient services.
  • Respond to customer queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner to ensure customer satisfaction.

Additional responsibilities include detecting and ensuring disposition of blemished food and defective supplies equipment, and maintaining records, reports, and files of food production and the department.
