Bakery Manager Position

The Bakery Manager plays a pivotal role in the smooth operation of the bakery shop, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation of bread products.

This demanding position requires strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, effective staff management, and efficient work procedures to meet high-quality production standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage bakery operations, including production forecasting and inventory control.
  • Maintain quality and presentation standards for all bread products.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining attractive bread displays in buffets.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to operational schedules and minimizing equipment damage.
  • Prepare for and participate in health inspections.
  • Procure and transport necessary items from main stores to the bakery shop.
  • Monitor recipes and yields to ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Collaborate with the CDP Baker on daily consumption reports.
  • Promote excellent guest and crew member service, adhering to standard operating procedures.
  • Financial Acumen:
  • Manage expenses and revenue targets effectively.
  • Ensure cost containment through proper resource utilization.
  • Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and manage staff to optimize performance and achieve quality standards.
  • Mentor and develop staff, providing on-the-job training and preparation for career advancement.

Qualifications and Education:

  • A minimum of three years' experience as a baker in a high-end hotel, resort, or cruise ship.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, requirements, and equipment usage.
  • Completion of high school or basic education equivalency required.
