We are seeking a highly skilled leader to spearhead our Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) strategy.

Job Description

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive HSE plan that aligns with our organization's overall business objectives. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Ensuring regulatory compliance with all applicable acts, regulations, standards, and permits.
  2. Conducting regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implementing effective control measures.
  3. Investigating and analyzing incidents to determine root causes, implementing corrective actions, and preventing recurrence.
  4. Developing and maintaining emergency response plans, conducting regular drills, and ensuring the organization is prepared to handle emergencies effectively.
  5. Designing and delivering HSE training programs to employees at all levels, ensuring they possess the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely.
  6. Tracking and reporting on key HSE performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.
  7. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement in HSE performance through initiatives such as audits, inspections, and benchmarking.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this challenging role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in HSE management, preferably in a metal and mining industry.
  • Approved Safety Officer status as per Odisha Factory Act.
  • Strong knowledge of Factory Act, Environmental guidelines, HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience in greenfield/brownfield expansion projects.
  • Experience in environmental compliance and permitting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
