Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Ruby on Rails expert to spearhead the development of efficient, scalable web applications.

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of ActiveRecord and PostgreSQL, as well as object-oriented programming principles.

This role involves designing, building, and maintaining robust Ruby code, with a focus on clean architecture and best practices.

A solid understanding of React and Google Cloud Platform is highly desirable.

  • Design and develop high-quality web applications using Ruby on Rails.
  • Write maintainable, efficient code following industry standards (TDD, code reviews, CI/CD).
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications.
  • Debug and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Participate in agile team environment, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Key Requirements

Minimum 4 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.

Detailed understanding and practical experience with ActiveRecord.

Proven expertise working with PostgreSQL (data modeling, indexing, query optimization).

Strong grasp of OOP principles and design patterns.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.

Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.

Good communication skills and proactive approach to work.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Familiarity with React.js or other front-end frameworks.

Knowledge of GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and cloud-native application development.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines.

Familiarity with background job processing (e.g., Sidekiq) and real-time features (e.g., ActionCable).
