Senior Software Engineer - Web Development

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our web applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with expertise in Ruby on Rails, and experience working with microservices architecture, Dockerization, and cloud computing platforms such as AWS.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop new or changing existing web applications and APIs.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot web applications and APIs.
  • Write and maintain reliable Ruby / Rails code.
  • Integrate with data storage solutions such as databases, file storage, or object storage.
  • Create services using microservices architecture.
  • Dockerize the application/service.
  • Identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs.
  • Integrate user-facing elements designed by the front-end team.
  • Connect applications with other internal or third-party systems.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails.
  • Proficiency in either Sidekiq or Shoryuken, showcasing a deep understanding of background job processing.
  • Solid knowledge in React and Typescript, demonstrating the ability to work with modern frontend technologies.
  • Familiarity with AWS, with a specific emphasis on SQS (Simple Queue Service).
  • Willingness to work in EST hours.

Qualification:

  • BE/B.Tech or Equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field.
