About the Role:

  • This leadership position requires a strong background in software engineering, with a focus on backend development and scalability.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead 6-10 Backend engineers, requiring hands-on experience in designing, developing, and scaling reliable data platforms.
  • Set clear goals and track progress towards project milestones.
  • Drive innovation, collaborate cross-functionally, and multitask effectively.
  • Develop technical architecture and design of Backend systems for scalability and reliability.
  • Prioritize operational excellence, incident management, and risk identification.
  • Mentor engineers, manage a team, and emphasize engineering excellence and quality.
  • Champion high availability, performance culture, and customer-centric product focus.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, data-oriented mindset, and innovative thinking.
  • Deep understanding of OOP concepts, distributed systems, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with message brokers and caching systems.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes.
  • Expertise in architectural decisions and design.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google).
  • Ability to adapt to changing stakeholder needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • User-focused with the ability to drive product improvements.
  • Leadership skills for coaching and providing growth opportunities.
  • Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement through experimentation and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
