Job Title: Engineering Manager

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic engineering leader to oversee our backend engineering function, driving system architecture, managing technical teams, and aligning backend development with the company's long-term product and business vision.

This role is responsible for leading and mentoring engineering teams, enforcing best practices in backend development and system architecture. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in backend engineering, including leadership or managerial roles, and expertise in technologies such as Node.js, Java, Python, or Go.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor engineering teams, implementing best practices in backend development and system architecture.
  • Take ownership of backend system design, focusing on scalability, performance, and security.
  • Define and drive the technical roadmap in collaboration with product, design, and frontend teams.
  • Oversee technical decision-making, architecture reviews, and code quality assurance processes.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of proven experience in backend engineering, including substantial experience in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Deep expertise in backend technologies such as Node.js, Java, Python, or Go.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance backend architectures.
