Legal Contracts Negotiator

As a skilled negotiator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our legal function by streamlining the review of commercial agreements and increasing efficiency for revenue/sales. You'll be responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts, maintaining accurate and compliant contract records, and building trusted relationships with internal stakeholders.

Responsibility:

  • Draft and negotiate terms and conditions for various types of agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, master services agreements, and data privacy agreements.
  • Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties and internally with the company.
  • Develop creative solutions and draft alternative terms, working closely with attorneys within the Legal team.
  • Obtain approval for non-standard terms in accordance with internal policies.
  • Educate internal teams to promote conformity and consistency in contract terms and legal obligations.

Qualification:

  • University level degree or equivalent, with 4-6 years' experience negotiating legal terms & conditions with directly customers or vendors.
  • Training or education in law, paralegal skills, negotiation, or legal writing, including IAACM or similar certification required.
  • Familiarity with media organizations desirable.
  • Must be highly proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Experience working with commercial contract management and a good level of understanding of contract and commercial law.
