Job Title: Senior Server-Side Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Server-Side Developer to join our team at Patch Infotech Private Limited. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance server-side applications using Node.js.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with various data sources and third-party services.
  • Write reusable, testable, and efficient code adhering to coding standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Engage with product managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and contribute to their professional growth.
  • Lead code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and enforce best practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to improve development efficiency and product quality.
  • Monitor and optimize application performance to ensure scalability and responsiveness.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Document technical specifications, design decisions, and development processes.
  • Prepare and deliver status reports and project updates to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Node.js development with a strong portfolio of projects.
  • Proven experience with modern JavaScript (ES6+) and asynchronous programming.
  • Proficiency in Node.js and its core modules (e.g, HTTP, File System, Streams).
  • Experience with popular frameworks and libraries such as Express.js, Koa.js, or Hapi.js.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and API design.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g, React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus.
  • Experience with database systems (SQL and NoSQL), such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is preferred.
