Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Lead Design Engineer to join our team in optimizing assembly designs, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and ease of manufacturing and maintenance. As a key member of our design department, you will be responsible for creating efficient and effective designs that meet the company's goals.

Your primary objective will be to prepare design concepts and calculations that optimize assemblies and plants. This includes:

  • Efficient Design Concept Development: Create innovative design concepts that prioritize efficiency, reliability, and ease of manufacture and maintenance.
  • Error-Free Design Execution: Prepare and issue accurate and error-free design and drawings for parts and assemblies as per design plans or as advised by HOD within specified time limits.
  • Product Range Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of the company's product range, including specifications, features, contents, and functions.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as service, marketing, manufacturing, and users of design output, to provide technical assistance, resolve problems, and share new information.
  • Project BOM Management: Work closely with engineers releasing project BOMs and standard BOMs for revisions and updates.
  • Design and Engineering Development: Enhance design and engineering knowledge, competencies, and skills through training, discussions with design department team members, attending trials and testing of lines under dispatch, visiting assembly shops, and tool rooms, and discussing topics with members of other departments like QA, service, purchase, etc.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Report daily activities, training needs, and discuss current topics with HOD, while following all ISO procedures and compliances.
  • 3D Modeling Expertise: Create 3D models as per TL instructions.
