Tata Electronics Private Limited, a pioneering venture of the Tata Group, is seeking an accomplished Technology Lead to spearhead our Power Solutions initiative.

We are building India's first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry, poised to revolutionize the industry with cutting-edge technology.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development and integration of 40-110nm BCD and HV (Display Driver) technologies, ensuring seamless performance, reliability, yield, schedule, and cost targets are met.

Your expertise will play a crucial role in achieving initial ramp while maintaining yield and quality metrics, adding features (active devices and passives) to existing technologies, and creating new ones that enhance performance and application range.

The position may involve leading Wide Band Gap Power technologies, design and layout of test chips for device/technology optimization, reliability assessment, and SPICE model extraction.

You will lead end-to-end Project Management from initial project justification to final qualification and yield ramp, focusing on desired performance, quality/yield, schedule, and cost targets.

This role demands exceptional leadership skills to build and lead cross-functional teams across diverse geographies, establish strong customer relationships based on confidence in TEPL technical capabilities, and present to internal and customer senior executives.

Key responsibilities include competitor benchmarking, ownership of technology roadmap, travel (few weeks per quarter), ability to manage, mentor, and lead a team of highly motivated professionals, work independently, self-motivated with a strong drive to win, and team player with the ability to work across diverse cross-functional teams spread across the world.

Qualifications include:

  • M.S or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of CMOS and Power device physics, process modules, yield improvement, failure mechanisms, analytical techniques (physical and electrical)
  • Understanding of EDMOS/LDMOS device design trade-offs using resurf and superjunction concepts
  • Deep knowledge of power technology parameters and figures of merit (Rsp, RonQg, SOA, etc); experience in achieving competitive performance
  • Proven track record in delivering these technologies into volume manufacturing
  • Understanding of key modules especially as they pertain to power technologies (eg. Epi, Implant) and understanding of different power device configurations (eg. Isolated vs Non Isolated devices)
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and achieve project completion within timeline and cost targets
  • Ability to work across different cultures and geographies
  • Good team player

Requirements include 15+ years experience in the semiconductor industry, proven track record of successfully developing new technologies into high volume production, and proven problem-solving skills using design of experiments and analytical tools.

The estimated salary for this role is ₹1.2 Crore - ₹1.5 Crore per annum, based on market standards and industry benchmarks.
