As a Senior Building Management Systems Engineer at your next professional challenge, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of large-scale infrastructure projects.

The role involves end-to-end project execution and management of building management systems, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services, and central chiller plants. You will be responsible for coordinating design, execution, testing, and commissioning activities to guarantee seamless plant and building operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Execution & Coordination: Oversee the execution of works related to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, chilled water plants, utility systems, and integration with building management systems.
  • Manage Installation, Testing & Commissioning: Ensure the proper installation, testing, and commissioning of central chiller plants, air handling units, cooling towers, pumps, valves, piping, and controls.
  • Building Management System Integration: Integrate various building management system platforms with chillers, HVAC equipment, electrical panels, and safety systems.
  • Project Milestones: Ensure timely completion of projects as per schedule and adhering to quality standards.
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, consultants, and internal teams to achieve execution targets.
Technical & Design Review:
  • Design Drawing Review: Review drawings, bill of quantities, equipment specifications, and shop drawings related to building management systems and mechanical services.
  • System Architecture Validation: Validate system architecture for building management systems, HVAC systems, chiller plant management systems, SCADA/DCS systems, and utility monitoring systems.
  • Standards Compliance: Ensure adherence to ASHRAE, ISHRAE, IS codes, NBC, and international standards.
Quality & Safety Management:
  • QA/QC Checks: Implement quality checks for equipment installation, piping, cabling, and control systems.
  • HSE Practices: Enforce HSE practices during site execution in compliance with safety standards.
  • Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) & Site Acceptance Tests (SAT): Conduct FAT and SAT for critical systems.
Operations & Handover:
  • Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing of chiller plants and building management system dashboards.
  • Plant Optimization: Optimize plant operation through automation, control strategies, and energy efficiency.
  • O&M Manual Preparation: Prepare operation and maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, and training sessions for facility teams.
  • Project Handover: Support project handover to facility management teams with complete documentation.
Mandatory Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water plants, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, valves, and utility systems.
  • Hands-on experience in building management system integration (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks protocols).
  • Project execution experience in data centers, hospitals, airports, and large commercial buildings.
  • Familiarity with electrical panels, PLC/DCS, VFDs, UPS, DG, and power monitoring systems.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency standards & green building codes (LEED/IGBC).
  • Expertise in project scheduling & reporting (Primavera/MS Project).
  • Strong vendor management & stakeholder coordination.
Good to Have:
  • Exposure to chiller plant management systems & optimization software.
  • Experience with IoT/AI-based smart building platforms.
  • Certifications in HVAC, building management systems, energy management, or project management (PMP/PRINCE2)
