Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Database Architect to design, develop and maintain high-availability databases using MySQL and MS SQL Server.

Key Responsibilities

  • Database Design & Development: Create scalable database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, functions and triggers. Collaborate with application development teams to translate data requirements into efficient database designs.
  • Performance Tuning & Optimization: Optimize complex SQL queries, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, implement indexing strategies and query optimization techniques.
  • Database Administration & Maintenance: Manage backups, recovery, disaster recovery plans, ensure database security, access control and data integrity.
  • Data Integration & ETL: Develop and maintain ETL processes for system-to-system data integration, implement data warehousing solutions for reporting and analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • 6–7 years of proven experience as a Database Developer (MySQL & MS SQL).
  • Expert-level SQL programming (T-SQL, PL/SQL), strong knowledge of database design, data modeling, normalization and performance tuning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
  • Knowledge of additional databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle).

Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
