Optics Development Leader

We are seeking a senior optics development leader to spearhead the creation of our electron-optical column, source, lenses, detector coupling, and imaging quality for reliable, high-resolution performance.

About the Opportunity

This is a rare chance to contribute to the development of India's first commercial Scanning Electron Microscope. A platform that not only sees the nanoscale but also patterns and measures it with precision.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible for architecting and aligning the column for high-resolution, low-drift performance. Establish practical tuning workflows for production and service.
  • Translate optics theory into tolerances, calibration routines, and alignment jigs that are repeatable outside the lab.
  • Collaborate with electronics and software teams to ensure deterministic beam control and expose intuitive imaging controls.
  • Develop and maintain the calibration playbook - resolution, magnification, distortion - and train others to run it.
The Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Deep experience in electron optics, including hands-on alignment, vacuum hardware, and lab metrology.
  • Ability to move seamlessly between modeling, bench work, and factory documentation.
  • Clear communication skills to turn complex optics into simple, teachable procedures.
