Senior Data Analyst Role

About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our consulting team, working closely with leading General Insurance clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data understanding and insurance domain knowledge to drive digital transformation and data-led decision-making across the insurance value chain.

The Ideal Candidate:
A senior data analyst with experience in driving business growth through data analysis and insights. They should be able to develop deep functional understanding of General Insurance operations across policy administration, claims lifecycle, underwriting, billing, and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain large datasets, perform data profiling, validation, and SQL-based analysis to support requirement definition and quality assurance.* Normalize and de-normalize data structures, define hierarchies, and incorporate business semantics into model design.* Work with developers and data engineers to ensure models are implemented correctly and optimized for performance and usability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong understanding of one or more of the following insurance processes: o Policy Lifecycle (Issuance, Renewals, Cancellations) o Claims Lifecycle (FNOL, Adjudication, Settlement, Recoveries) o Underwriting & Risk Assessment o Commission & Distribution Management o Billing o Regulatory and Statutory Reporting* Proven experience with data projects, including requirement gathering, transformation logic, mapping, and validation* Expertise in SQL for data analysis and transformation* Knowledge of data warehouse, ODS, and data lake architectures* Exposure to Agile and Waterfall delivery models* Experience working on insurance core systems like Guidewire etc.* Understanding of regulatory requirements in the insurance industry* Basic familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI

Years of Experience Required:
5-7 years of overall experience in IT or Consulting, with a strong focus on Insurance Business Analysis and Data Modelling
