Senior Nutrition Programme Manager

Our organization aims to drive positive social change through impactful initiatives in nutrition, health, and related domains. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to lead our nutrition portfolio and ensure effective programme management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Contribute to the review and update of our nutrition strategy in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
    • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion in high-priority geographies.
    • Develop comprehensive program plans and delivery models for new and existing initiatives.
    • Establish strategic partnerships with like-minded organizations.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Provide thought leadership on nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive programme development.
    • Apply best practices in programme design and management.
    • Build a pipeline of proposals for grantmaking and develop innovative theories of change.
    • Lead sectoral meetings and workshops to drive knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Programme Management:
    • Manage complex programmes and initiatives independently, ensuring timely reports and fund disbursements.
    • Identify learnings and lessons from projects and develop knowledge products.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional units to achieve organisational objectives.
    • Develop annual work plans and budgets collaboratively.
Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies:
  • Education: PhD, Master's, or PG Diploma in Public Health Nutrition, Community Health, Global Health, Public Health, Food and Nutrition Policies, Public Policy, Development Studies, or related disciplines.
  • Experience: 15 years in public health nutrition, food-related programme development, research, and policy; prior experience in philanthropy and grant making is an asset.
  • Skills: Deep commitment to social development, awareness of field realities, good understanding of theory-of-change-based programme design, excellent communication skills, proactive self-starter, team player, proficient in computer skills, respect for diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The compensation offered for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience and salary history.

Location & Nature of Appointment:
  • Location: Mumbai (Mandatory travel to different locations in the country, including remote areas, at least 10-15 days in a month)
