Geologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Geologist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in uncovering the secrets of the earth's structure.

The successful candidate will have expertise in geomechanics, including stress and strain analysis, rock mechanics, and fluid flow. Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining and generating structural cross-sections and maps using seismic data.

Apart from these primary responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be expected to analyze fault frameworks to understand regional and local geological structures. This includes developing expertise in basin analysis, which is crucial for our upstream oil and gas teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze fault frameworks to understand regional and local geological structures
  • Develop expertise in geomechanics, including stress and strain analysis, rock mechanics, and fluid flow
  • Collaborate with upstream oil and gas teams to develop effective geological solutions

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or Earth Science
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Geology or Earth Science (preferred)
  • Excellent understanding of geomechanics, including stress and strain analysis, rock mechanics, and fluid flow
  • Proven experience in structural cross-section generation and seismic data analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
