Electrical Design Project Manager

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Project Manager to lead our electrical design projects from conceptualization to completion. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing DC SMPS based Power Systems for telecom and industrial requirements, as well as electro-mechanical designing of Electrical Panels/UPS Panels-ACDB/DCDB/MCC/PCC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project plans and schedules to ensure timely completion of electrical design projects.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers on electrical design matters.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards such as IEC 60204-1 & IEC 61439-1-2.
  • Analyze technical requirements of project goals and develop effective solutions.
  • Prepare detailed design documents (BOM, GA Drawings, Electrical drawings) and conduct reviews of engineering drawings and design calculations.
  • Optimize BOM costs through efficient design and material selection.
  • Implement quality engineering documentation practices to ensure accuracy of engineering data.
  • Plan and execute projects for process improvements and new product introductions as per Quality Management System requirements.
  • Provide proactive and contemporary engineering support to production and quality teams.
  • Interface with customers to understand their requirements.
  • Validate and characterize prototypes.
  • Streamline and manage day-to-day execution processes to ensure adherence to quality.
  • Maintain accurate records and files conforming to technical norms.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in electrical design and project management.
  • Experience in designing DC SMPS based Power Systems for telecom and industrial requirements.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD for SLD & Wiring Diagrams.
  • Knowledge of electrical switchgear, cables, bus-bar sizing, mechanical designing, wire harness, product quality & safety norms, testing of panels.
  • Knowledge of mechanical & electrical codes & standards.
  • Project management skills including cost/schedule/resource planning and control.
