Job Overview The Electrical Designer provides solutions to problems in the Electrical Design discipline without supervisory approval and will evaluate and select solutions from established operating procedures and or scientific procedures Responsibilities Key Tasks and Responsibilities Prepare key project deliverables including but not limited to the following Block Diagrams Area Classification Drawings One-line diagrams Typical Installation Drawings Motor control schematics Panel Schedules MCT Schedules Lighting Layout Drawings Cable tray drawings Earthing layouts Building Layouts MCT Layouts Tray support location Plans Cable tray sizing calculations Conduit cable schedules AG UG power drawings Interconnection Wiring drawings Prepare bills of material and perform MTO of electrical items Work in 3D modeling tool to perform the following Model Cable trays Model Electrical Equipment Model Electrical field devices Model Cable tray supports Supports for field devices Model Penetrations Model Cable trenches Extract Drawings Extract MTO Clear Clashes TDL Support Project Development and Coordination including but not limited to the following Maintain and promote a focus on McDermott s end-product throughout engineering fabrication or construction Report to and coordinate with the electrical engineering project lead and electrical task lead as applicable Effectively communicate with electrical design lead and project electrical designers and engineers Recognize and manage change with full awareness of project impact keeping lead designer informed Assume responsibility for deliverables activities to which are assigned Qualifications Essential Qualifications and Education Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Experience using AutoCAD Microstation Smartsketch SP3D E3D PDMS is must Experience with Dialux Chalmlite for lighting calculation and Roxtec Tool for MCT sizing is preferred Minimum of 3 years of detailed electrical design experience Familiar with application of standards codes and guidelines including NEC NFPA Technical knowledge of the electrical detailed design drafting process Experience using MS Office Suite including Excel and Word LI-AR1About Us Lutech Resources has over 25 years experience providing tailor made recruitment and integrated resource management to leading Engineering Energy and Manufacturing sector companies worldwide We set ourselves apart from others in the industry by building long term relationships with both our clients and candidates based on a mutual understanding of their targeted industry and a passion for excellence With every engagement our goal is to quickly place qualified talent with the best suited employer We have a genuine understanding of candidates and clients needs Along with a dynamic and effective service we strive for positive outcomes for everyone every time
