This position oversees the IT project management office at Velocity Fincrime Solutions Suite.

The PMO manager is responsible for enforcing project management frameworks and ensuring successful execution of all IT projects.

This role plays a hands-on project management role for critical IT initiatives and leads a team of project managers and coordinators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for IT portfolio processes, including planning, governance, methodology framework, and resource capacity management.
  • Ensure project management standards are implemented across the IT project portfolio.
  • Supervise and mentor the project management team, including performance reviews and training.
  • Create staffing plans for internal and external resources.
  • Analyse project proposals to determine timelines, funding, and required processes.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to project teams through all project phases.
  • Implement effective project communication and manage project risks and issues.
  • Ensure alignment of project goals with business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years' experience in complex IT project management.
  • Deep understanding of agile frameworks.
  • Project management professional certification.
  • Background in business analysis.
  • Prior team leadership/supervisory experience.
