Sr Staff Video Codec Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Staff Video Codec Systems Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing and optimizing video codec algorithms for high-performance applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and staying abreast of the latest advancements in video processing technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop video codec algorithms for real-time applications, ensuring seamless integration with various platforms.
- Optimize video processing for performance and quality, leveraging expertise in software development tools and version control systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate codecs into diverse platforms, utilizing knowledge of hardware acceleration and multimedia frameworks.
- Conduct thorough performance analysis and benchmarking of video codecs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to video encoding and decoding, applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in video processing and compression, driving innovation and growth in the field.
- 5-10 years of experience in video codec development and optimization, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong understanding of video compression standards (H.264, H.265, AV1, etc.), ensuring compliance and interoperability.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python, allowing for efficient development and testing.
- Experience with software development tools and version control systems (Git), facilitating collaboration and code management.
- Familiarity with hardware acceleration for video processing (e.g., GPUs, DSPs), enabling optimized performance and reduced latency.
- Knowledge of video streaming protocols and multimedia frameworks (FFmpeg, GStreamer), ensuring seamless integration and playback.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
