Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of video codec specifications for specific blocks.
  • Design and architect sub-blocks, ensuring seamless integration with other components.
  • Work closely with the team to understand all interfaces and configurations for respective blocks.
  • Craft and refine code for each block, leveraging expertise in coding and debugging techniques.
  • Collaborate on design optimizations to enhance power, area, timing, and performance.

Skill Requirements:

  • A strong foundation in DSP and multimedia domain knowledge, particularly in video codecs and computer vision, is preferred.
  • Proven experience in micro-architecting and designing complex datapath cores for ASICs and SoCs, including AI and ML cores for CV applications.
  • Expertise in RTL coding using Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
  • Familiarity with synthesis and formal verification tools.
  • Proficiency in simulation debugging with Verdi and log files.
  • Basic scripting skills.
  • Familiarity with linting, CDC, low power, and other related areas.
  • An ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, interacting proactively with verification engineers.
  • Independent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field, along with 2+ years of hardware engineering or related work experience.
  • OR
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field, with 1+ year of hardware engineering or related work experience.
  • OR
  • PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.
