Job Title: Hydraulic Design Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Hydraulic Design Manager to join our team and lead the planning and development of water supply schemes and irrigation projects. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of these critical infrastructure projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive pipeline layout plans for water supply schemes and pressurized/gravity pipe distribution networks.
  • Design and prepare hydraulic models using Water GEMS software to optimize system performance.
  • Prepare detailed L-section designs of pipelines on AutoCAD and E survey software.
  • Carry out investigations, surveys, design engineering calculations, and preparation of working drawings and estimates for water supply schemes and pressurized/gravity pipe distribution network irrigation projects.
  • Prepare item-wise bills of quantity for projects.
  • Determine quantity estimations and bar bending schedules from drawings.
  • Obtain design approvals from government departments and vetting institutes.
  • Travel to sites and government departments for convincing, scrutiny, and approval.
  • Develop strong report writing and presentation skills.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in the field of hydraulic design.
  • B.E. Civil/M. Tech (Water Resources/Irrigation/Environment) qualification.
  • Knowledge of pipeline hydraulics and software used for same (Water GEMS).
  • Experience as a design engineer for water supply pipeline projects or irrigation projects.
  • Knowledge of different types of pipes, valves, pumps, design manuals, and relevant IS codes.
  • Proficiency in Water GEMS, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and E survey software.
