Travel and Expense Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a proactive Travel and Expense Compliance Specialist to join our team in Ahmedabad, India.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and auditing expense reports to ensure they comply with company policies, preparing various financial reports, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

This role requires a strong understanding of corporate travel and expense policies and proficiency with expense management software.

  • Auditing and Compliance: Audit expense reports to ensure they comply with company policy. You will also monitor employee adherence to T&E (Travel & Expense) policies and take appropriate action when needed.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Create and distribute monthly Executive T&E Summary Reports. You'll also regularly analyze travel and expense data to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Processing and System Management: Assist with bi-monthly expense processing and support the T&E Manager with administrative tasks and maintenance of the T&E system (Concur).
  • Training and Support: Provide ongoing education and training on T&E processes to internal associates. You will also handle ad-hoc reporting as required and assist the T&E Manager with the corporate card program.
Requirements

Education: A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: Proven experience in expense report auditing, T&E processes, or a similar finance role is essential.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with expense management systems, preferably Concur, and proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office tools.

Knowledge: A strong understanding of corporate travel and expense policies and a basic knowledge of corporate card programs and expense categorization.

Skills and Qualifications: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  1. Review and audit expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies.
  2. Monitor employee adherence to T&E policies and take appropriate action.
